STEPHANIA BLUM – ART PORTFOLIO
About the Artist
Stephania Blum is a Mexican artist based in Miami whose work explores identity, resilience, and migration through a fusion of traditional and digital media. Since childhood in Mexico City, art has been her most intimate language, but it was during her time in Europe that she rediscovered her passion, selling her first pieces in Spain and Belgium. In 2014, she created her collection Never Look Back, a series of works reflecting the courage of women and the struggle to move forward without fear of the past.
Her work has gained international recognition, participating in events such as Art Basel Miami 2023, the Bellas Artes Perú 2024 exhibition, and the anniversary show of Les Couleurs Gallery in Downtown Miami. She has also been selected for initiatives like 100 Women in Art, which celebrate the impact of women in the art world.
Artistic Statement
My art is a window into transformation, strength, and memory. Through my pieces, I seek to tell stories of women who challenge their destinies, of migrants who carry their history on their skin, and of artists who, like me, find in art a space of resistance. I paint with the conviction that each piece must have soul and purpose, inspired by great figures such as Vermeer and Yayoi Kusama, who have taught me the importance of depth in every artwork.
Highlighted Collections
“Never Look Back” (2014 - Present)
This collection is the core of my work and a visual manifesto of courage and transformation. Inspired by migration and resilience, each piece encapsulates the strength of those who move forward without looking back. Some of its most representative works include:
• “Viva la Vida de Frida Kahlo” – A tribute to the iconic Mexican artist, reimagining her legacy through a perspective of hope and vitality.
• “Niñas Valientes” (Brave Girls) – A piece celebrating the power of youth and the courage of new generations.
• “YAYOI Kusama: I See Dots” – A homage to the Japanese artist, reflecting her struggle as a migrant and her perseverance in the art world.
Interactive Works
Exploring the relationship between art and technology, I have developed pieces such as “VIVA LA VIDA”, a painting that comes to life through augmented reality, allowing the viewer to become part of the artwork. This innovation has been tested by various celebrities and figures in the art world.
Cultural and Historical Inspirations
• “Cherry Blossom Blossom” – A piece that fuses Japanese symbolism with resilience, representing the koi fish’s journey and its transformation into a dragon.
• “The Journey to Mictlán” – A visual exploration of the journey to the underworld in Mexican cosmology, available as a limited edition of 10 prints.

Future and Upcoming Creations
I am currently developing new pieces that combine traditional art with technology, exploring interactivity and visual storytelling. Additionally, I am in the early stages of writing a screenplay based on my father and his siblings’ journey—the first Mexicans to compete internationally in skydiving. This project aims to bring their incredible story to the screen.
My art is a bridge between the past and the future, between memory and reinvention.
Because we RiSE , we HEAL, and we NEVER LOOK BACK
